Students at The Manchester College have achieved outstanding AS and A level results this year with an overall A-Level pass rate of 97%.

In total 1,141 AS and A level exams were taken at the college this year with 100% pass rates in 16 subjects, including maths, business studies, English language, French, German, media, psychology, sociology, chemistry and history.

The highest number of A*, A and B grades were in chemistry (56%), maths (49%), history (45%), sociology (44%) and physics (42%).

Deputy Principal Jack Carney congratulated the students on their results: ‘This year’s achievements have been fantastic, with the vast majority of our students having achieved the grades they need to progress. These results help to reinforce our commitment to widening participation and raising attainment among under-represented groups within the city of Manchester and beyond, and are testament to the hard work of both the students and our staff.’
