Salford University Celebrates Muslim World Music Day

Salford is the only British University to take part in this international event celebrating music from muslim cultures on 12 April. 

There will be live music, workshops, discussions on faith and music with Imans from Greater Manchester, and a Souk selling food, clothes, jewellry and art.

Muslim World Music Day aims to raise awareness of music outside the western norm and is led by The Archive of Contemporary Music in New York, USA and Colombia University Middle Eastern Research Centre in Jordan.
